Improving your short game is the fastest way to lower your score. 60 to 65% of all shots are taken from within 100 yards of the green. That percentage drops a little if you disregard gimme’s, but that’s for another discussion.
When you go to the range, devote at least 60 to 65% of your practice time to putting, sand shots, chips, and pitches. Sure, bash a few drivers and long/mid irons, but more practice time on the short game is the fastest route to improved scoring.
Thanks for reading and remember to have fun out there!
