About Me

I am a Class A Master Teaching Professional certified by the Professional Golf Teachers Association of America. I have played golf for over 50 years. For much of that time, I struggled, as most amateurs do. So much information is available, and many theories are espoused that can all become confusing. The amateur golfer is left to sort through the wash and find what works, and it can sometimes feel akin to looking for the proverbial “needle in a haystack.”

I have a strong interest in developing others. I taught computer maintenance for several years while in the Navy. After my tour of duty ended, I led a team of instructors/curriculum developers working as a Department of Defense contractor. I enjoy teaching and golf and have found my passion in combining the two in a meaningful pursuit. So, I decided to commit myself to gaining certification as a Master Teaching Professional through the PGTAA. This course of study greatly enhanced my knowledge of golf and teaching methods and practices.

I look forward to sharing my 50 years of playing experience and my many years of teaching experience to help those who, like me, want to sift through the avalanche of information, find their natural swing, and improve their golf game.
